Congratulations to FireHeart player Tyler Petersmarck for receiving the 1st Quarter ELA Coyote Scholar Award; all A Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters; induction into National Junior Honor Society; and 1st place in 7th grade for his science fair project for the Southern Arizona Regional Engineering and Science Fair.
Brandon Petersmarck
Congratulations to FireHeart player and coach Brandon Petersmarck for receiving AIA All Team Honorable Mention for the 4A Gila Region, 2022-23 Basketball Season.  Red Scholar Athlete, Academic Athlete Award, for student athletes who maintain over a 4.0 GPA throughout the school year.  And 3rd season on varsity.
CC Kreamer
Congratulations to FireHeart player CC Kreamer for receiving the the Anza Trail 6th Grade Vision and Leadership Award. This award is given to a student who demonstrates development in their leadership skills and excels in their ability to build their character. This award is given to the student who works hard every day to be on task and who u see stands and connects the material taught to their lives every day. CC was also an Anza Trail Coyote Scholar in the first quarter for ELA.

Congratulations to FireHeart player Jace Jackson for recieving first place in the 2023 Future Chef’s Culinary Competition. Jace has also made the honor roll for the first three quarters of school for the 2022/2023 school year.

Parker Zaferis
Congratulations to Parker Zaferis for earning a spot on his middle school “A” team as the starting point guard as an 8th grader. Parker’s ball handling skills and shooting touch make him the player to stop on the Continental Colts. Parker has been developing his skills with FireHeart Basketball for 3 years and helps lead our club teams in leagues and tournaments across Southern Arizona. Good luck in your games, Parker!

Malcolm Waiters
Congratulations to Malcolm Waiters for earning a starting spot on his middle school “A” Team as an 8th grader at Anza Trail School. With FireHeart Basketball, Malcolm has quickly become an impact player who has fast-improved his shooting, scoring off the dribble, and defense. We are proud of you, Malcolm!

Malcom was also given the “Leader in Character” award for the month of November for Anza Trail School. We couldn’t be more proud of one of our athletes to get this award! Excellent job Malcom!

Congratulations to FireHeart Basketball Player Gio Tomdessa for earning a starting spot on the Anza Trail “C” Team as a 6th grader at Anza Trail School. Gio has not been playing organized basketball for very long and is already standing out among players his own age. This is due to Gio’s love for the game of basketball and his hard work in practice.

Jaedan Jackson
Congratulations to Jaedan Jackson! Jaedan earned a spot on his Middle School “A” team as the only 6th grader to be on the team with almost all 8th graders. Jaedan’s hard-nosed defense, shooting touch, court sense, and work ethic is making him a significant member for the Coatimundi Cavaliers. Jaedan has been participating on our FireHeart Club Teams for four years and continues to grow and improve.

CONGRATULATIONS to FireHeart basketball player Jackson Klump for earning All Region (4A Gila) Second Team honors with Walden Grove Basketball as a freshman! Jackson was also named ALL-Tucson Freshman of the year at Walden Grove High School!

Congratulations and kudos to FireHeart basketball player Brandon Petersmarck for making a difference in his community by leading an Eagle Scout project and improving his former middle school. Brandon initiated, developed, and delivered a flagpole project for his old school. We are proud of Brandon for his leadership, positive patriotism, and community service.

FireHeart basketball player Jaedan Jackson recently was nominated as an AZ-19 Influential Youth community “difference maker.” His teacher nominated 5th grader Jaedan for “truly changing his mindset from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset… He has been a good example for his peers by maintaining a positive attitude and has learned to set attainable academic goals, especially in writing. Jaedan has learned to motivate himself and his peers both academically and socially.”

FireHeart Basketball classes continue to operate outdoors with full covid precautions in place (face masks, hand sanitizer, physical distancing, modified drills to keep spacing a priority, individually labeled water bottles, etc). FireHeart believes in keeping all players and their families safe physically and socially/emotionally.
